Washington Mutual Donates $250,000 to Red Cross
Seattle-based Washington Mutual Inc. donated $250,000 to the American Red Cross disaster relief fund to aid victims of Tuesdays terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, D.C. Washington Mutuals more than 2,300 financial centers nationwide are also accepting donations on behalf of the Red Cross. "In the aftermath of the tragedies on the East Coast, Washington Mutual employees send our sympathy and support to the families and friends of those directly impacted by this horrible tragedy," company CEO Kerry Killinger said in a statement. "We hope that our contribution to the American Red Cross will provide assistance to those who desperately need it."
