Wells Fargo Hires Deloitte Veteran Baich

Wells Fargo (WFC) has named a Deloitte & Touche veteran as its chief information security officer.

Rich Baich will oversee the San Francisco company's security plans, strategy and programs designed to secure customer and company information. He will start in late summer, Wells said Monday.

At Deloitte & Touche, Baich led the global cyber threat and vulnerability management practice. He has also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers, ChoicePoint and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years as an information warfare officer, cryptology officer and surface warfare officer.
