Wealth management company Wilmington Trust has named F. Mackey Hughes to the new position of managing director of endowments and foundations for its wealth advisory services business.
Hughes, who will be based in Baltimore, will head the firm’s strategy and market development work with endowments, foundations and other nonprofit organizations.
Hughes’ new position is part of a larger move for Wilmington Trust toward providing endowments and foundations with more investment and fiduciary resources. The firm has also bulked up its staff serving those organizations with the hiring of teams in Boston and New York.
Hughes previously served as a business development partner at private equity firm Camden Partners, in which Wilmington Partners is a minority shareholder. Prior to that, Hughes held senior management positions at Deutsche Bank Alex Brown.
Wilmington Trust’s wealth advisory services business serves high net worth clients in 33 countries.
