Asset gathering prowess is an ability many firms and managers like to boast. So allow Tammira Philippe a moment for some swagger.

In just five years as the head of marketing and client service at Houston-based Bridgeway Capital Management, Philippe led campaigns that tripled the quant investment management firm's AUM from $2.5 billion to $8 billion.

The jump in AUM included Philippe successfully launching two dedicated mutual funds that grew more than $1 billion in those five years.

In addition, she collaborated with a team of more than 20 people to spearhead channel strategy and client acquisition, retention and marketing for the firm's mutual funds, sub-advised funds and institutional markets offerings.

Though the campaign's success could be tangibly measured in asset returns, Philippe also gained a brand victory for the firm, collaborating with industry experts to demonstrate its capabilities in institutional, retirement and RIA markets.

Philippe has and continues to revolutionize BCM's brand to support multi-channel marketing ever since she walked through the door 12 years ago.

She introduced the Omni and select sub-brands and facilitated internal workshops for messaging development and training at the firm.

Between 2005 and 2010, Philippe worked as a strategy and operations partner and laid groundwork for initiatives the company uses today.

Now as president, Philippe works closely with BCM's founder to oversee six functional teams: investment management, trading, compliance, marketing and client service, investment operations, and corporate administration.

She sits on the firm's portfolio review and risk committee, where she develops strategies to strengthen risk control and enhance marketing efforts.

Outside of work, her community efforts include membership on the advisory council for Texas A&M Computer Science and Engineering Department, where she earned her computer science degree.
