    Eric Halperin is the Special Counsel for Fair Lending in the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department where he oversees the Division’s fair lending enforcement program and serves as an advisor to the Assistant Attorney General on lending issues. From 2004 until January 2010, Eric was at the Center for Responsible Lending, a national policy, research, and litigation organization whose mission is to eliminate abusive financial practices. Eric was the Director of CRL's Washington office, where he managed the litigation program and CRL's advocacy on various policy issues. This marks Eric’s second stint at the Department of Justice. From 1998-2004, Eric was a trial attorney in the Housing and Civil Enforcement Section of Civil Rights Division, working primarily on litigation to enforce the Fair Housing Act. Eric received his B.A. from Wesleyan University and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Carey is an expert on the politics and perspectives of the lengthy REO and Short Sale processes and a real estate consultant who identifies gaps in business practices and finds ways to make companies more efficient. Prior to forming Woodward Asset Capital with two partners in 2007, Carey was a director with First Franklin Financial Corp., a subsidiary of Merrill Lynch. He also held leadership positions at two retail organization firms.

She has been in the mortgage industry for 25 years, and has worked for several large mortgage institutions since 1986. She has a deep knowledge of the regulatory issues surrounding mortgage servicing as well as a strong knowledge of default processes as she managed numerous default functions for over 15 years before becoming a compliance professional.

    Nathan Brown serves as MountainSeed Advisors LLC’s chief legal officer. Previously, he practiced law at Seyfarth Shaw LLP, a large national law firm. Nathan has experience managing large-scale licensing and registration efforts in states across the country; closing real-estate acquisition, disposition and leasing transactions; facilitating equity investments; negotiating debt financings and workouts; and applying and interpreting appraisal-related provisions of the Truth in Lending Act, the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, and the related regulations and rules promulgated by the primary federal regulators and the FHFA. Brown frequently writes and speaks on appraisal regulations. He also has been quoted in articles related to the valuation industry in national publications, including National Mortgage News.

    Dain Ehring, Executive Management, CoreLogic Dorado Founder Dain Ehring has served on CoreLogic Dorado's executive management team since the company's inception in 1998, and has led the company through a decade of exponential growth. Before founding CoreLogic Dorado, Mr. Ehring was Director of Market Development and Strategic Sales for JavaSoft, Sun Microsystems' Internet company. Prior to joining JavaSoft, he was Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Service at Lighthouse Design Ltd., an applications developer later acquired by Sun. Mr. Ehring has also held a variety of senior management roles at NeXT Computers, IBM, and Unisys. He holds a Master’s degree in Space Physics from UCLA and worked at NASA before moving to the private sector.
