Jill Schmidt is a Vice President in the Public Finance Southeastern Region at Assured Guaranty, where she is a municipal underwriter across a variety of sectors. Jill joined Assured Guaranty in June of 2010. Prior to joining Assured Guaranty, Jill spent three years in Fitchs Global Power Investor Owned Utilities Group.Jill also spent five years at FGIC underwriting Public Finance transactions and additionally surveilling Investor Owned Utilities and Public Power transactions. Jill started her career as a research analyst at Moodys Investors Service in 2000, spending the majority of her time as a municipal analyst in the Southeastern region. Jill earned her Masters degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Investments from Baruch College, and gained her undergraduate degree in Accounting from Clarkson University. Jill is also a member of the Municipal Analysts Group of New York, National Federation of Municipal Analysts and Women in Public Finance.

Jenny is a Vice President/Senior Analyst on the Higher Education and Not-for-Profits Team, which she joined in December 2010. She is responsible for a diverse portfolio that includes large public university systems, private colleges and universities, and cultural and research not-for-profit institutions primarily in Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, and the District of Columbia. Jenny joined Moodys in June 2004 as an analyst in the Local Government Ratings Team where she was the lead analyst for Pennsylvania and New Hampshire regional ratings, and worked in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Florida, Alabama, and Virginia. In October 2008, Jenny assumed a position managing a 13-member team responsible for local government surveillance. In July 2011, Jenny authored Moodys Fiscal Year 2010 U.S. Not-for-Profit Private College and University Medians. Jenny received a B.A. in Sociology from Barnard College, Columbia University and an M.P.A. from the New York University Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Prior to graduate school, Jenny worked for several years in the financial services industry, including four years at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a member of an internal change management team.

Michael Phemister is the Vice President of Treasury Management at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and has been employed at DFW since 1999. In his tenure at DFW, he has been responsible for 32 bond issues totaling in excess of $10 billion. In addition he has structured and issued bonds for a consolidated Rent-A-Car Facility in 1999 and for the construction of a Grand Hyatt Hotel in 2001. In addition to managing the Airport’s debt, he is also responsible for the management of $2.8 billion of cash and investments, management of a $450 million retirement plan and for the management of federal grants and Passenger Facility Charges.Prior to coming to DFW Airport, he was the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Rockwall, TX and prior to that the CFO for the City of Forest Hill, TX. He has a total of 35 years’ experience in the municipal arena.Mike has a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a passionate sailor who hopes to someday search for new adventures on the seven seas.

Dr. Fischers experience as the former head of Municipal Bond Research and the Global Index System at Bank of America Merrill Lynch gives him unique insights into the municipal market. He is a nationally recognized expert on fixed income instruments, sought out for economic and market analysis, risk management, presentations, expert witnessing, portfolio monitoring as well as training and teaching. Dr. Fischer has recently been named as a Board Member of Banc of America Preferred Funding Corporation. Dr. Fischer is also the author of INVESTING IN MUNICIPAL BONDS: How to Balance Risk and Reward for Success in Todays Bond Market from McGraw-Hill Professional. Dr. Fischer is securities and futures registered through Broker Dealer Financial Services Corp., Member FINRA/SIPC, and an Investment Advisor Representative of Investment Advisors Corp., an SEC registered advisory firm.

Dan Kiley is the Head of Municipal Fixed Income for Wells Fargo Advisors. He joined the firm in 1995 when it was known as Wheat First Butcher & Singer serving as a Senior Municipal Trader, Senior Municipal Underwriter and Regional Manager. He began his career in the securities brokerage industry in 1980 on the municipal trading and underwriting desk at Craigie Incorporated in Richmond, Virginia.At Wells Fargo Advisors, he currently serves as a member on the firm�s Best Execution & Trading Oversight Committee.Dan is a member of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association serving on the Municipal Executive Committee, Municipal Trading and Syndicate Committee as well as the Retail Fixed Income Committee. He is a 2014 graduate of the Securities Industry Institute from The Wharton School.Dan is a member of the Electronic Municipal Market Access Development Committee, a service of the MSRB.He is a past president of the Richmond Municipal Bond Club and has served as a board member for the Bond Club of Virginia.Dan graduated from The University of Richmond in 1982 with a B.A. in Economics.

David Eichenthal is Executive Director of the Strong Cities Strong Communities National Resource Network and a Managing Director with the PFM Group�s Management and Budget Consulting practice.� He works on projects nationwide to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of municipal government clients, with a focus on fiscal turnarounds.�Prior to joining PFM, Mr. Eichenthal served as President and CEO of the Ochs Center for Metropolitan Studies, a non-profit policy research institute that works with local governments, foundations and non-profit organizations in the Southeast and across the nation. He was also a Nonresident Senior Fellow with the Brookings Institution Metropolitan Policy Program.�Mr. Eichenthal served in a series of senior positions in local government over fifteen years in both Chattanooga and New York.� As City Finance Officer and Director of Performance Review for the City of Chattanooga, he oversaw implementation of one of the nation�s first 311 systems and creation of a citywide performance management initiative.� Mr. Eichenthal chaired the Downtown Redevelopment Corporation, the Regional Interagency Council on Homelessness and the General Pension Plan Board of Directors.In New York, Mr. Eichenthal was Chief of Staff to the Public Advocate, the city�s second highest elected official.� He also held senior positions with the School Construction Authority and the City Comptroller�s office.Mr. Eichenthal is the co-author of The Art of the Watchdog: Fighting Fraud, Waste, Abuse and Corruption in Government (SUNY Excelsior Press, 2014), cited by The New York Times as �required reading for any government executive.�� �Mr. Eichenthal is also a Senior Research Fellow at the New York University School of Law Center for Research in Crime and Justice.� He received his J.D. at the New York University School of Law and a BA degree from the University of Chicago in Public Policy Studies, cum laude.�

Paul Braden is the head of the firm’s US public finance practice. Located in Dallas, he has been practicing law in Texas for over 25 years. His public finance clients include key underwriting firms, government agencies and political subdivisions, for whom he has advised on a variety of debt issuance matters, including venue project financings, pension bonds and tax credit bonds. Serving as bond counsel, underwriters' counsel and issuer counsel, he has represented clients in financings involving billions of dollars of debt securities.From 2004-2015, Paul was a member of the governing board of the Texas Pension Review Board, and served as its Chair from 2013 to 2015. Prior to joining Norton Rose Fulbright, he was a founding partner of what became (at one time) the largest Hispanic-owned law firm in Texas.�

Angel Taveras was sworn in as Mayor of Providence on January 3, 2011.Combining progressive principles, pragmatic action and unprecedented stakeholder collaboration, Mayor Taveras has led efforts to successfully pull the City back from the brink of bankruptcy and championed a national model for inclusive, structural fiscal reforms.Mayor Taveras has made the tough, necessary decisions to strengthen Providence's fiscal ground and put the Capital City on a path towards sustainable progress. Since taking office, Mayor Taveras, with support from the city's employees, labor unions, tax-exempt institutions, civic and political leaders, retirees, and taxpayers has eliminated a $110 million structural deficit and reformed the City's previously unsustainable pension system, thus averting near-certain bankruptcy for Providence.The Mayor's efforts to bring about comprehensive pension reform while protecting retirees' fundamental benefits during difficult economic times have been heralded by the Wall Street Journal as an inclusive model other cities, towns and counties should replicate.Mayor Taveras sees a bright future for Providence and is focused on creating economic opportunity and jobs, improving educational outcomes and public safety, and building a more livable city for all residents.Mayor Taveras has consolidated the City's economic development efforts to recruit new businesses and support existing ones. He is also encouraging creative entrepreneurship through the first-in-the-nation Innovation Investment Program (IIP) which partners with Betaspring, a mentorship-driven accelerator program for technology and design entrepreneurs, to invest in startups that complete the program and locate in Providence.In July 2012, Providence was one of 14 communities across the United States to be named an All America City for its plan to ensure that all students are reading on grade level by third grade. Under Mayor Taveras, the Providence Public Schools have focused reform efforts aimed at improving outcomes and preparing our children for success and the Providence After School Alliance continues to win national recognition.Mayor Taveras is working with partners such as The Institute for the Study and Practice of Nonviolence and Project Night Vision to strengthen relationships between the police and community and curb youth violence. Building on his experience as a Housing Court Judge, Mayor Taveras and the Providence City Council are working to implement new measures to protect neighborhoods from the plight of abandoned and neglected properties while providing a path towards affordable homeownership in neighborhoods hit hard by the foreclosure crisis.
