Joan Lamm-Tennant is the Global Chief Economist and Risk Strategist of Guy & Carpenter Company, LLC, a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies. As a member of the Specialty Executive Group, Joan coordinates and implements Guy Carpenter’s business vision advising clients on the integration of risk management with capital management and overall business strategic planning. Joan also serves Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. as the Head of Enterprise Risk Management Advisory supporting MMC and its operating companies with the implementation of effective risk management disciplines. Joan was the President of General Re Capital Consultants – a consulting arm of General Reinsurance Corporation who advises insurance companies on risk and capital management strategies.When initially joining General Reinsurance Corporation in 1997, Joan served as a portfolio risk strategist, assisting the Chief Investment Officer and Board in setting asset allocation guidelines and a risk-adjusted performance benchmarking system for their $25 billion portfolio. Prior to her career in industry, Joan was the Thomas G. Labrecque Chair in Business and Professor of Finance at Villanova University with an extensive publication record and teaching awards in investments and risk-based portfolio management.Joan serves as a Director of Selective Insurance (1994 - present), serving on the Audit Committee and Finance Committee. She is a Director of IVANS, Inc. (privately held technology company serving the insurance industry). Other prior Board assignments were Turner Investment Partners (mutual fund family), Focus Fund, Philadelphia Financial Analysts Society, American Risk and Insurance Association and Charter Oak State College. Joan is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.Joan received a B.B.A. in accounting and a M.B.A. in finance from St. Mary’s University. She also received a Ph.D. in finance, investments and insurance from the University of Texas at Austin

Lindene Patton is Chief Climate Product Officer for Zurich Financial Services (Zurich). She is responsible for product development and risk management related to climate change. She is a project Board Member for the World Economic Forum Low Carbon Finance Initiative and the Forest Carbon Finance Initiative. She is an advisory board member for the University of California at Santa Barbara's Bren School of Environmental Science and Management. She is a member of the ICLEI* for Sustainable Governments Adaptation Experts Advisory Committee. Ms. Patton serves as the Vice-Chair of the Climate Change and Tort Liability Sub-Committee of the Geneva Association. Ms. Patton also serves on numerous government and non-governmental advisory boards, including the Executive Secretariat of the U.S. National Climate Assessment Development and Advisory Committee; U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Environmental Financial Advisory Board, the Bureau of National Affairs' monthly publication, the Environmental Due Diligence Guide, and the US EPA Environmental Technology Verification Program. Ms. Patton is an attorney licensed in California and the District of Columbia and an American Board of Industrial Hygiene Certified Industrial Hygienist.
