Joey took a leave of absence from Pomona College to focus full time on Augur, a platform for decentralized prediction markets built on Ethereum. He conducted the first Bitcoin transaction via sound as well as the first Bitcoin transaction via iOS-Android Bluetooth LE. As a prelude to Augur, Joey and Jack completed Sidecoin, which allows new cryptocurrency distributions based on "snapshots" of Bitcoin account balances. He works on Augur’s backend smart contracts. �

John Henry Clippinger is co-founder and Executive Director of ID3 (Institute for Innovation & Data Driven Design), a 501 C(3) �non profit organization (www.idcubed.org) �formed to �develop and field test legal and software trust frameworks for identity, �personal data, �data-driven services, infrastructures, and enterprises. He is also a Research Scientist at the MIT Media Lab’s Human Dynamics Group and former Chairman of the ITU Working Group on Identity and Authentication. Previously, Dr. Clippinger was founder and Co-Director of The Law Lab (www.lawlab.org) at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University Law School.Dr. Clippinger is the editor with David Bollier of �From Bitcoin to Burning Man and Beyond; The Quest for Identity and Autonomy in Digital Society, (2014), the author of A Crowd of One: The Future of Individual Identity (Perseus, Public Affairs, 2007, and The Biology of Business, Natural Laws of Enterprise Josey Bass, 1998 ). Previously, he was Director of Intellectual Capital, Coopers & Lybrand and the founder of four artificial intelligence software companies.Dr. Clippinger is a graduate of Yale University and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania where completed his thesis on a computational model of discourse composition, He is a member of the eG8 Forum, and the Global Leadership Council of World Economic Forum, The DoD sponsored Highlands Forum, Yale University CEO Leadership Institute, The Aspen Institute, World Technology Network Leader Finalist, Ashoka, and The Santa Fe Institute Business Network. �

Dave Kim is a Program Officer on the Financial Services for the Poor team at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He leads the team’s product innovation strategy and is also responsible for accelerating and deepening the penetration of digital financial services in Kenya.�Previously, Dave was a Lead Commercial Inventor at ?What If! Innovation, an innovation consulting firm in New York. At ?What If!, Dave partnered with Fortune 500 companies to help crack their innovation challenges by designing and launching new products, services, brands, experiences, and companies. He also helped large organizations develop a culture and capability of innovation by developing and teaching a global curriculum on innovation, creativity, and experimentation.Prior to joining ?What If! Innovation, Dave was a management and strategy consultant with Opera Solutions in their New York and London offices. Dave earned a BA in Anthropology from Cornell University.

Lester Hill is a policy analyst in the Governance and Operational Risk Policy (GORP) Group. Mr. Hill develops Comptroller’s Handbook and regulatory guidance for OCC examiners and bankers in areas of Operational Risk Management. In August 2015, he transferred to the GORP group from Information Technology (IT) field supervision.Mr. Hill joined the OCC in 1992 after 12 years in commercial lending with regional banks in Grand Rapids, Michigan and St. Louis, Missouri. In 1998, he received his commission as a National Bank Examiner and his Certified Information Systems Auditor certification. Until 2005, he served as a portfolio manager for various St. Louis-area community banks. In 2006, he became an IT examiner and worked at and supervised IT functions at large community and midsize banks and large national IT service providers. In 2014 Mr. Hill received his Federal Thrift Regulator commission. From 2009 to 2015, he worked out of the OCC’s Atlanta, Georgia field office.Mr. Hill received a bachelor’s degree from Hope College and a master of business administration from Indiana University.
