RBC Grabs Merrill Lynch Wealth Team In Colorado

RBC Wealth Management has snapped up a three-member wealth management team from Merrill Lynch in Colorado.

David Evans joins RBC as senior vice president/financial advisor, alongside team members Nepeta Godec, who now serves as senior financial associate and Patty Eckelberry, senior client associate. Together, they previously managed more than $177 million in client assets while at Merrill Lynch and had $1.15 million in fees and commissions.

The team now operates as the Evans Group out of RBC's Denver Tech office, where they have been registered since Sept. 14, according to their public records with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

All three team members spent four years at Merrill Lynch, which they joined from Wachovia Securities, according to their FINRA registration records.

The team reports to Dan Ball, director of RBC's Denver complex, who in a statement described the team as "seasoned industry professionals who take great pride in providing the best possible service to their clients, and who fit in well with the firm's unique culture."

RBC also grabbed another two-member Merrill Lynch advisor team who oversaw $250 million in client assets in La Jolla, Calif., in September.
