Genworth Expands Nationwide Consulting Team

Genworth Financial Wealth Management, a subsidiary of Genworth Financial Inc., has added 20-year industry veteran Rico Casares to its practice management consulting team.

Casares will be put in charge of the Southeast region and complete the four-person nationwide team, joining James Mackiewicz (central states), Dana Marino (West) and Gretchen Golembewski (Northeast).

According to a Genworth statement, “the growth of the consultants team reflects an overwhelming response from advisors.”

The team’s creation is part of GFWM’s ongoing initiative to aid advisors in building their business. Practice management consultants meet with advisors to understand their clients’ businesses as well as provide insight in a variety of areas including hiring, technology, efficient managing and eventually transitioning their businesses.

“The team and our increasingly deep relationships with advisors are testament to our heritage of helping advisors build great businesses and our continued focus in this area. Practice Management is not a side business for us, which is why it’s exciting to have nationwide coverage,” Director of Practice Management Matt Matrisian said.

Earlier in the year, GFWM’s Practice Management team launched Genworth’s Wealth Management’s Business Transition Services Program, aimed at assisting advisors considering a transition in acquisition, sale or retirement.
