Wells Fargo Hires Morgan Stanley Team

The stage coach rolls on, adding more wirehouse advisors after a fall hiring spree.

Wells Fargo recruited Joe and Penny DiRago to join its San Antonio office in a move first reported by Reuters.

The two had worked for Morgan Stanley, where they managed $180 million in client assets and produced $1.4 million.

Penny DiRago began her career at Merrill Lynch in 1986, according to public records with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority before moving to Prudential, Citigroup, and most recently Morgan Stanley.

Similarly, Joe DiRago began at Merrill Lynch in 1986 and moved through Prudential, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley.

The duo joined Wells Fargo on Dec. 5.

Wells Fargo recently added 24 advisors, 10 of which were also from Morgan Stanley.
