RBC Adds $1 Billion Morgan Stanley Team

RBC scooped up two former Morgan Stanley advisors who oversaw around $1 billion in assets.

Advisors Ira H. Mark and Michael Berger will help RBC expand its presence in New York as senior vice presidents in the firm’s midtown office in New York City.

“After extensive due diligence, Ira and Michael chose RBC Wealth Management as the firm best positioned to serve their ultra high net worth client base and further grow their practice,” said John Moran, RBC’s complex director for New York City and Long Island.

A 22-year industry veteran, Mark began his career at Citigroup and also served at UBS before joining Morgan Stanley in 2007, according to FINRA records.

Berger, who is also a veteran of Citigroup and UBS, began his career in 1999, according to public registration records.

They are joined by their registered client associates Michael Carlin and Jessica Laurino.

RBC, which is based in Minneapolis, Minn., has around 2,000 financial advisors.
