$200M Morgan Stanley Team Joins FiNet

A former Morgan Stanley team with $192 million in client assets has opened an independent practice with Wells Fargo.

Jerod Wurm and Casey Frye, operating as Wurm & Frye Wealth Management of Roseville, Calif., joined the Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network, the firm said.

Both got their start in the industry at IDS Life Insurance in 1997, according to FINRA records. They also did stints at American Express Financial Advisors, Pruco Securities, Prudential Securities and LPL Financial before joining Morgan Stanley in 2010, BrokerCheck records show.

Wells Fargo recently lured three advisors with $150 million in combined AUM to its independent space, one of which was a former Morgan Stanley advisor with $43 million in AUM.
