Janney Recruits $1.7M Team From Barclays

An advisor team that previously managed $214 million and generated $1.7 million in annual revenue has left Barclays to join Janney Montgomery Scott.

The Guggenheimer Zaki team, comprised of Steven Guggenheimer, executive vice president, and George Zakim, vice president, will join Janney’s New York office.

“Like many other professionals in the industry, Steven and George found the firm to be their destination of choice because of our operating platform, client-centric philosophy, and the quality of our employees,” said Michael Drumm, Janney's New York complex manager, in a statement. “We welcome Steven and George to our team and anticipate that their wealth of experience helping clients achieve their goals will be instrumental in Janney’s continued success.”

Prior to working at Barlcays, Guggenheimer and Zaki were financial advisors at Merrill Lynch. Both advisors started their careers at financial services firm Neuberger Berman. Guggenheimer is a graduate of Haverford College in Pennsylvania and Zaki graduated from Fairmont State University in West Virginia.
