Regional BDs have been on a years-long growth streak, adding assets, advisors and branch offices.
In short, they’re getting bigger. So is our Top Regional BD Advisors Under 40 ranking.
When we first introduced this ranking, it featured 10 advisors. The following year, the list soon increased to 25. And as regional firms have expanded, so has the number of nominations we’ve received each year. To better reflect the depth of the talent pool, we’ve enlarged the list this year to 40 advisors.
They’re an impressive group. Combined, they had more than $80 million in production and oversaw more than $12 billion in client assets.
These advisors work for a variety of regional broker-dealers: Raymond James, RBC, Janney, Ameriprise and Baird. And you can find them in all corners of America, from Kirkland, Washington, to Clearwater, Florida.

A quick note on criteria and methodology: Finalists for the ranking were 39 or younger as of Dec. 31, 2019, and were registered with a regional BD in the employee channel. Production totals were used to determine the rankings. Nominees’ information was confirmed with their employers.
