$2.3M Morgan Producers Jump to Merrill

Merrill Lynch grabbed an advisor team managing $248 million in client assets from Morgan Stanley, according to the firm.

Advisors Hyeon Kang, Larry Dime and Hung Tran generated $2.3 million in annual revenues while at Morgan, Merrill said. They will report to Anthony DiBlasi, the firm’s market president for Seattle and Washington state.

The team specializes in serving high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients.

Kang joined Morgan in 2007 after a six-year stint with UBS, according to FINRA records. Dime started his career with Morgan in 1995. Tran also got his start at the wirehouse in 2013.

Recently Morgan Stanley lost an advisor team managing $300 million in client assets to Merrill. Overall, the firm lost about a dozen advisors managing close to $1.7 billion in client assets to rival wirehouses and regional B-Ds last month.
