A T. Rowe PM Retires

Robert Gensler, portfolio manager of the T. Rowe Price Global Equity Strategy, which includes the roughly $590 million Global Stock Fund, will retire from the firm on December 31, a spokesperson for the company has confirmed.

Gensler, who is the brother of Gary Gensler, chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, had been with the company since 1993. He has nearly 30-years of experience in the industry.

David Eiswert will succeed Robert and become the portfolio manager for the Global Equity Strategy on October 1, 2012. Eiswert has managed the Global Technology Fund for the last three and a half years.

Meanwhile, Josh Spencer will succeed Eiswert and assume portfolio management responsibility for the Global Technology Fund effective June 1. Spencer is currently a research analyst covering semiconductors and equipment in the technology industry and serves as a member of the Global Technology Fund’s Investment Advisory Committee. He has 13 years of investment experience, seven of which have been with T. Rowe Price.
