La Jolla, Calif.-based Altegris, an alternative mutual fund shop, has hired Amy Bennett as its new director, sales strategy and channel marketing, reporting to Andrea Trachtenberg, chief marketing officer.
In her new role, Bennett will be responsible for developing and implementing sales-marketing strategy across all channels, including the development of strategy-related, sales communications such as Advisor Training modules, continuing education credit programs and thought leadership for the Altegris Academy Advisor Center.
In addition, she will be responsible for relationship marketing and client-experience communications, conferences, events, programs and new asset-gathering and retention sales campaigns.
“Amy’s addition underscores our commitment to the Altegris Academy, an educational portal developed to provide white papers, interactive videos, strategy guides, fundamental articles and solution based selling programs to educate and empower both the professional and high net worth individual investor on alternative investments,” stated Trachtenberg.
Bennett hails from Guggenheim Investments, where she served as the program marketing director. A spokesperson for Guggenheim was not imemdaitely available for comment on Bennett's departure. Previously, Bennett served as strategic product manager at BlackRock, Inc.
