Ameriprise recruited two Raymond James advisors in November who managed more than $150 million in combined assets, an Ameriprise spokesperson acknowledged.
Advisor Mitchell McCann joined Ameriprise's employee channel from Raymond James Financial Services, according to FINRA records. McCann managed $110 million in AUM. He joined Ameriprise in Farmington Hills, Mich., a suburb of Detroit, where he reports to branch manager Mark Feiler.
McCann earned his Series 7 in 1988, according to FINRA records. He had been with Raymond James since 1999.
Advisor Steven Miller joined Ameriprise's independent channel and is based in New York. Miller earned his Series 7 in 2005. He had been with Raymond James since 2008. He managed more than $44 million in assets. Miller reports to Scott Hirsh, field vice president.
Ameriprise has been on a renewed recruiting push. Earlier this year, the firm increased the dollar value of its recruiting package. In September, the Minneapolis-based firm announced several new recruits managing more than $500 million in assets. In October, Ameriprise brought over an independent advisor to its employee side from LPL Financial, where the advisor, Charles Alexander Smith, managed $165 million in assets.
