Bear’s Glaser Takes Post at BoA

David Glaser, co-head of investment banking at Bear Stearns, is the latest of several of his former colleagues to join Bank of America.

Glaser, who spent 23 years at Bear Stearns, will become chairman of the global mergers and acquisitions practice at BoA.

He joins Davis Beller, Bear’s head of financial sponsors on the West coast; Adam Blackman, from the media group; Fred McConkey and Steve Lipman, managers of Bear’s private equity firm relationships; and Cary Thompson, head of corporate finance on the West coast.

This exodus of Bear talent to BoA is a clear indication of the focus BoA is putting on its investment banking business.
