Benjamin Joins U.S. Bancorp

U.S. Bancorp has named William Benjamin as CEO of U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. and U.S. Bancorp Insurance Services LLC.

He will report to Mark Jordahl, the president of the Minneapolis company's wealth management group.

Most recently, Benjamin was co-head of the project office in charge of reorganizing UBS Financial Services' wealth management business in the United States. Before that he had held senior wealth management positions at Piper Jaffray Cos. Earlier he had spent several years at International Business Machines Corp. in client-facing positions.

U.S. Bancorp, which announced the hiring Monday, has $242 billion of bank assets.
