BNY Mellon Wealth Management Hires Tracy McCarthy to Head Denver Office

BNY Mellon Wealth Management hired Tracy McCarthy to lead its Denver office as regional president. She will reports to David Emmes, president of U.S. Markets West.

In this role, McCarthy will be responsible for managing and expanding the firm’s presence in Colorado. Earlier this summer, BNY Mellon Wealth Management announced its commitment to expand its nationwide sales force by 50% and add other professional staff over the next 18 months.

“Denver is among the top 20 wealth markets in the U.S. and is strategically important to our expanding high-net-worth client base throughout the West,” Emmes said in a press release. “Tracy joins an expanding leadership team in the West that is committed to accelerated growth.”

Prior to this, McCarthy had her own business strategy consultancy, according to a company spokeswoman. She also has worked at a number of wealth managers and private banks including U.S. Trust, Lloyd’s Banking Group and Citibank. At Lloyd’s Banking Group, she served as commercial director for Global High Net Worth for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

“A key factor in my joining BNY Mellon is its long tradition of client focus and distinguished reputation for integrity and stability. Denver is an economically vibrant region and we have a great opportunity to serve our existing clients while winning new ones,” McCarthy said in the press release. “I’m also looking forward to enjoying Denver’s quality of life and exploring one of the most beautiful parts of the country.”

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has more than $175 billion in private client assets, as of June 30.
