Bond Fund Redemptions Top $13 Billion

Investors pulled $13.34 billion from mutual funds for the week ended Wednesday, June 12, according to data from theInvestment Company Institute.

Bond funds redeemed $13.46 billion, compared to estimated outflows of $10.87 billion during the previous week.

Equity funds also had estimated outflows of $1.03 billion for the week, compared to estimated outflows of $930 million in the previous week. Domestic equity funds had estimated outflows of $2.29 billion, while estimated inflows to world equity funds were $1.25 billion.

On the other hand, hybrid funds had estimated inflows of $1.15 billion for the week, compared to estimated inflows of $347 million in the previous week.
