BU Creates Board To Oversee FP Program

Boston University announced the creation of an advisory board to help manage the BU Online Program for Financial Planners, a new interactive, multimedia program for financial planners and professionals. The board consists of a wide range of leaders within the financial services industry, who will evaluate and critique the quality of the program.

From the mutual fund industry, the board will include Daniel T. Geraci, president and CEO of Pioneer Investments, Keith F. Hartstein, senior vice president of John Hancock Funds, Jack Sharry, president of the private client group at Phoenix Investment Partners, and Jane M. Mancini, managing director for Putnam Investments.

"As the challenging markets we've experienced over the past two years have reminded us all too clearly, understanding how to develop and follow through on a financial plan has never been more important than now," Sharry said. "My hope is that through the Boston University Online Program for Financial Planners, we can help more advisers help more investors through better learning curriculum and online tools."
