Call for nominations: Financial Planning’s 2021 Rising Stars

We are pleased to announce the launch of the first-ever Financial Planning Rising Stars award recognizing fee-only and fee-based planners with no more than five years of experience in the industry.

The award is intended to identify and celebrate young RIA professionals and career changers who are advancing the industry through their accomplishments, contributions and service to the community of advisors and clients nationwide.

The deadline for nominations is by midnight on Friday, July 16. Results will be announced in August.

Who can be nominated? All fee-only or fee-based planners or RIA professionals are eligible to be nominated or nominate themselves; anyone can submit as many nominations as they wish.

What info is required? The simple nomination form is designed to be a quick listing of information about the planner and the firm, with four open-ended questions asking for your explanation about how the nominee is advancing the professional community and why they’re a rising star. The Financial Planning staff will pick the winners based on the comprehensive merits of each application; the consideration includes one production-based metric, in terms of asking for the firm’s assets under management, but the number will not be the sole determining factor of the award winners.

Additional details: Nominees must have no more than five years of experience in wealth management, as of Dec. 31, 2021. All nominations and details will be subject to verification.
