Carney Decamps From Schwab

Jeffrey Carney may be looking for new digs and a new gig.

Word is the former executive vice president and head of Charles Schwab Corp.’s branch network and acquisition delivery has just resigned from his post today after only a nine-month stint at the San Francisco-based firm.

Money Management Executive had reported on his hiring in March.

Prior to Charles Schwab, Carney had served as the head of marketing and product for Putnam Investments.

Charles Schwab spokeswoman Alison Wertheim confirmed Carney's departure from the firm. She said his "decision to leave Schwab reflects a change in priorities for his family, choosing to remain on the east coast rather than relocate to the Bay Area."

Senior vice president of independent branch services Andrew Salesky will replace Carney as leader of the branch network, Wertheim said.
