Columbia Funds Chief Wilson is Out

Christopher Wilson, who ran the Columbia Funds unit at Bank of America, has left the company and been replaced by J. Kevin Connaughton.

A BoA spokesman said Wilson’s departure is part of a series of measures the firm is taking following its $50 billion acquisition of Merrill Lynch.

Wilson ran the fund unit for three years. Earlier, BoA said it was moving Wilson from Boston to New York and eliminating up to 35,000 jobs over the next three years.
