Conseco Capital Names Interim Sub-Advisers

Conseco Capital Management of Carmel, Ind. has named two interim sub-advisors to manage four funds that have been managed by Conseco's CEO and president following the departure of the company's chief financial officer and three portfolio managers.

Maxwell Bublitz, Conseco Capital Management's president and CEO, took over the management of the funds Oct. 25 following the sudden departure of Thomas Pence, Conseco's chief investment officer, and three portfolio managers. Oak Associates of Akron, Ohio and Chicago Equity Partners of Chicago will advise the funds, the company announced.

The interim contracts terminate 150 days after Dec. 1 or whenever a similar contract is approved by shareholders, according to a proxy statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission by Conseco Capital Management.
