Death Befalls Thompson Investment

Thompson Investment Management last week lost one of their own in the form of Donald Nichols, who passed away on February 15. Nichols had been a director at the firm since the firm’s founding in 1987.

"Don provided an impressive insight on U.S. and world economics," stated John Feldt, chairman of the firm’s funds. "He had both a thorough manner and a wonderful sense of humor. He took his role very seriously, and was always willing to ask tough questions of management. We will all miss him as both a person and as chairman and director."

Thompson Investment is based in Madison, WI and serves as investment advisor to three no-load funds: the Thompson LargeCap Fund (THPGX), Thompson MidCap Fund (THPMX) and Thompson Bond Fund (THOPX).
