Deutsche Bank Taps Ex-Van Kampen Exec

Jerry W. Miller has been named head of asset and wealth management, Americas at Deutsche Bank, a newly created position. Miller is based in New York and reports to Michele Faissola, head of asset and wealth management.

Before joining Deutsche Bank, Miller focused on making deals at Lightyear Capital, a private equity firm. There he was senior advisor responsible for the acquisition of financial services companies, with a focus on investment management and wealth management firms.

Before Lightyear, Miller was president and CEO of Van Kampen Investments. He also spent more than two decades at Merrill Lynch, ultimately as a member of the senior leadership team at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.

In addition to heading asset and wealth management, will chair the division’s America’s executive committee.  Miller will also join the Deutsche Bank North America executive committee, led by Jacques Brand, chief executive officer of Deutsche Bank North America.
