DTCC Collaborates With Delta Data on Mutual Fund Database

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corp. has partnered with Delta Data Software to add enhancements to its mutual fund database used by broker/dealers and other distributors to retrieve important information.

The first step will take place early next year, with added front-end edit tools for fund companies.

“The availability of reliable, timely information continues to be a high priority for fund distributors,” said Ann Bergin, managing director and general manager of DTCC Wealth Management Services. Referring to the database, the Mutual Fund Profile Service, Bergin said it “gives affordable access to data on more than 19,000 individual funds, and our collaboration with Delta Data will help ensure that the service continues to meet the evolving needs of our participants.”

Around 140 fund companies have inputted information into the database, which 120 distribution firms have used to retrieve four million data points. It contains information typically found in fund prospectuses and other legal documents—such as contingent deferred sales charges, breakpoint discount schedules and short-term redemption fees.
