DWS Global Fund Fires Subadvisor

Global Thematic Partners has been fired as a subadvisor to the DWS Global Thematic Fund (SGQAX), effective January 31, according to a regulatory filing. As a result, the fund will change its name to the DWS Global Growth Fund.

The $841 million fund bets on US and foreign equities encompassing a global growth and a global small cap growth concerns. Its new portfolio managers will include Joseph Axtell, Rafaelina Lee, Reid Galas, Nils Ernst, Martin Berberich and Sebastian Werner of Deutsche Investment Management Americas. In 2012, the fund posted a gain of 17.87% on par with the MSCI EAFE’s gain of 17.32%. It sports an expense ratio of 152 basis points.

 A spokesperson for DWS was not immediately available to comment on the fund’s reorganization.
