Eaton Vance, Richard Bernstein Partner on All Asset Strategy Fund

Eaton Vance and Richard Bernstein Advisors have launched the Eaton Vance Richard Bernstein All Asset Strategy Fund, with Richard Bernstein, CEO and CIO of the eponymous firm serving as manager of the fund.

Taking a macro approach to investing in global markets, the fund will cover equities, commodities, currencies and cash. Under normal circumstances, the fund expects to invest up to 75% of its assets in equities, 25% to 90% in commodities, up to 25% in commodities and/or currencies and up to 25% in cash or cash-equivalents. Most of these investments will be through exchange-traded funds.

As developments in markets and risk parameters change, the fund will be rebalanced.

“Investors today are looking for ways to maximize returns while managing risk,” Bernstein said. “We see the historical occurrence of a loss from a particular asset class as an important concept in the development of our asset allocation and risk management strategy.

“By following a flexible, go-anywhere strategy, the fund will seek to capitalize on global and domestic opportunities in multiple asset classes,” Bernstein continued. “We expect macroeconomic indicators to evolve over time, and the fund’s nimble investment strategy will allow for strategic asset allocations in both bull and bear markets.”
