EGA Registers Actively Managed EM ETFs

Emerging Global Advisors (EGA) is in the process of registering several actively managed ETFs investing in emerging markets, under the umbrella of the EGA Emerging Global Shares Trust. The group includes emerging markets bond funds and emerging markets strategic sector allocation and tactical sector allocation ETFs.

EGShares EM Bond Investment Grade ETF will invest in investment grade fixed income securities denominated in an emerging market or other currencies. EGShares EM Bond ETF will invest in fixed income securities denominated in an emerging market or other currencies.

Both EGShares EM Strategic Sector Allocation ETF and EGShares EM Tactical Sector Allocation ETF will use a “fund of funds” approach, and seek to achieve their respective investment objectives by investing in the shares of EGShares GEMS Sector exchange-traded that track the 10 underlying sector indexes that comprise the the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Titans® Index.

The primary sectors are: consumer goods, consumer services, oil & gas, financials, healthcare, industrials, materials, technology, telecomm and utilities.

The strategic sector fund expects to reallocate among the various sectors at least quarterly; the tactical sector fund plans to do so at least monthly.
