Ehret Departs; Hughes and Roberts Advance

With the departure of Peter Ehret, formerly head of high-yield investments and a senior money manager at Invesco, the firm announced a number of changes to its portfolio manager lineup.

Darren Hughes and Scott Roberts are now jointly and primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of Invesco Van Kampen High Income Trust II. The two had been responsible for the trust since 2010.

Hughes and Roberts also now have primary responsibility for the day-to-day management of Invesco High Yield Investments Fund. Both had been responsible for the fund since 2010.

Hughes and Roberts also joined the lineup of portfolio managers for the Invesco Van Kampen Bond Fund. The other two managers are Chuck Burge and John Craddock, who have been responsible for the fund since 2010.

Hughes and Roberts “have a combined 29 years of experience on our high yield team and are supported by a large team of dedicated high yield analysts with an average of 19 years of investment management experience,” according to a spokesman.  Hughes has been with Invesco since 1992 and Roberts has been with the firm since 2000.
