In line with the theme of the entire event, Clarke told Mack that he had come to the festival ready to "reprogram, unwind a bit and disrupt the traditional ways of thinking, the ways that we are accustomed to doing things inside of this industry, and really think outside the box and challenge ourselves a bit as to what we need to be doing to better future-proof our business."

Crosby elaborated on Orion's goals: "We're trying to arm our advisors to be future-ready, the theme of the conference," he said. "And we believe the future sits at the intersection of AI and be-fi, right? So AI is all the hype this year, will continue to be for many years to come. But it's been positioned in sort of an overly binary way, I think to this point. It would be, you know — will the human win with a machine, when Orion's answer is both, and that the human can win with the machine by his or her side."

Future Proof, an event billed as the first wealth festival, is making its return next summer, and the dates for Future Proof 2024 have already been announced. The event is slated to return to Huntington Beach Sept. 15-18, 2024.
Future Proof is also expanding in the new year with the addition of Future Proof Retreat, an additional event for wealth management leaders that will take place March 24-27 in Colorado Springs.
