ETFs Top $22 Billion in April

Assets of all exchange-traded funds rose in April by $22.39 billion to $1.469 trillion, according to the Investment Company Institute. Over the past 12 months, ETF assets increased $281.71 billion, or 23.7 percent.

Domestic equity ETFs have increased their assets to $157.46 billion since April 2012, and global equity ETFs assets rose $74.16 billion during this period. At the end of April 2013, assets of bond funds were $258.32 billion and hybrid funds were $1.20 billion.
