Ex-Naval Aviator Grounds Small Cap Fund

The Board of Trustees of the Altrius Small Cap Value Fund, a series of the Northern Lights Fund Trust, has decided to liquidate the fund on December 28, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

The fund was launched last July and currently manages some $13.5 million. It is managed by James Russo, who founded Altrius in 1997 and serves as the firm’s chief investment strategist. Prior to founding Altrius, he served as a naval aviator in the United States Marine Corps, according to the firm’s website, which does not list any other funds.

The firm did not immediately reply to an inquiry about the liquidation.
