Exchange-Traded Fund Will Trade on Chicago Options Exchange

The iShares S&P 100 Index Fund, a new exchange-traded fund, was to begin trading last week on the Chicago Board Options Exchange, according to Barclays Global Investors and the exchange. Barclays Global Investors is the adviser to the fund.

The expansion to the Options Exchange is indicative of the growing popularity of both exchange-traded funds and iShares, according to Lee Kranefuss, CEO of Barclay's individual investor business. The S&P 100 Index Fund will trade only on the Chicago Options Exchange.
