Coleman Joins Delaware as Head of Distribution

Scott Coleman has joined Delaware Investments as executive vice president, head of distribution and marketing, working with both institutional and retail clients. He is replacing John C.E. Campbell, who will be retiring at the end of the year after serving Delaware Investments for 18 years.

Scott brings an extensive track record of building and leading sales teams responsible for wealth management and client satisfaction, said Delaware Investments President Patrick P. Coyne. "Delaware Investments is pleased to have a visionary like Scott, who understands and excels at catering to client needs and building brand awareness for our varied product lines while managing the evolving demands of the institutional and high-net-worth marketplace.

"I am deeply appreciative of John's many years of service to the firm," Coyne added. "We thank him for his dedication and contributions and are pleased that he will help ensure a flawless transition of leadership over the next few months."

Coleman was previously with Goldman Sachs Asset Management for seven years, most recently as managing director in the investment consulting group in charge of mutual funds, separate accounts, 401(k)s and alternative investments. Before that, he was director of high-net-worth services at Lockwood Financial Group and served for 11 years at Smith Barney Consulting Group as senior vice president, director of research.

State Street Names Kedia EVP, U.S. Mutual Funds

State Street Corp. has appointed Gunjan Kedia as executive vice president of U.S. mutual funds, a newly created position in its investment servicing business. He will report to Alan Greene, chief of that division.

"I am delighted to have Gunjan join our team," Greene said. "With her background in product development, she brings a unique perspective to our U.S. mutual funds team."

Kedia comes to the firm from Bank of New York Mellon, where she was executive vice president for global product management, asset servicing. Before that, she was the executive director of Mellon Financial's investment manager solutions area and director of the operations strategy group. She was also a partner with McKinsey & Co. and a senior consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

"The mutual fund marketplace is becoming even more complex, and I look forward to being at the forefront of developing solutions for this growing market segment," Kedia said.

Metcalfe Becomes Head of DST Retirement Division

Jude Metcalfe has been named president of DST Retirement Solutions, a joint venture between DST Systems and Boston Financial Data Services that DST co-owns with State Street Corp. Metcalfe has been with BFDS since September 2007 in the defined contribution services division. DST Retirement Solutions will offer a range of outsourcing options, including front- and back-office technology solutions.

Corning Chief Volanakis Elected to Vanguard Board

Peter F. Volanakis, president and chief operating officer of Corning, has been elected to the board of directors of Vanguard, effective this December. Volanakis has been with Corning since 1982, a member of the company's board since 2000, COO since 2005 and president since 2007. He also serves on the board of directors of Dow Corning, the Corning Incorporated Foundation, the Corning Museum of Glass and the Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College.
