The division that Sarwal now heads, the largest unit, employs 800 in 16 locations with responsibility for solutions strategy, application development and delivery, client support and consulting services.

Commenting on the appointment, DST Global Solutions CEO Tom Abraham said, "Arun's depth of industry experience combined with his proven leadership in global financial services businesses should ensure success in the transformation we are making to a global, customer-centric solutions provider with industry expertise. We are determined to work proactively with our clients to focus on their issues and provide broad-ranging, relevant solutions."

Arun said he will concentrate on developing strong relationships, deepening expertise and developing new innovations.

Graziano joins the company from Pioneer Investment Management, where he was executive vice president and head of retail distribution and strategic marketing, and previously chief marketing officer and president of Pioneer Funds Distributor. Forward Hires Naka as Senior VP of Operations

Robert S. Naka has joined Forward Management as senior vice president of operations, overseeing mutual funds, separately managed accounts and trading.

With more than 18 years of experience in operations, compliance, mutual fund accounting, administrative services and information technology, Naka comes to the firm from ING Funds, where he was executive vice president and chief operating officer.

"Rob has been brought on to enhance our operational platform, integrating support for hedge funds, mutual funds and SMAs," said J. Alan Reid, Forward's chief executive officer. "Forward has chosen business partners with some of the industry's strongest technology platforms, and Rob's addition will allow us to leverage those capabilities across the back office."

Naka began his investment career in mortgage banking with Colwell Financial, later known as Southmark Mortgage, working in secondary marketing and accounting. He next joined Pilgrim Group as a mutual fund compliance accountant. Pilgrim promoted him to senior vice president of operations, in charge of transfer agent responsibilities. He also guided the firm through a series of acquisitions and mergers that resulted in the ING Funds. In 2006, he was promoted to EVP and chief operating officer for ING's mutual fund business.
