Fred Alger Selects Adams, Shen as Research Execs

Fred Alger Management has hired Gregory Adams as senior vice president and director of quantitative research and Eric Shen as vice president and analyst covering biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Shen will work with the portfolio management team running Fred Alger's health sciences funds.

Adams comes to the firm from Lord, Abbett, where he also was director of quantitative research. He has also worked as a managing director at Deutsche Asset Management and as an equity analyst and then portfolio manager at Chase Manhattan Bank.

Shen comes to Alger after working as an analyst at Robertson Stephen and as a portfolio manager at Dresdner RCM.

ProFund Advisors Hires Cravath as General Counsel

ProFund Advisors has hired Steven Cravath as general counsel and a member of the management team, reporting to Michael Sapir, chief executive officer.

Cravath comes to the firm from Morrison & Foerster, where he was a partner in the investment management practice, representing boards of directors and investment management firms on a wide variety of compliance issues. Before that, he was with Dechert Price & Rhoads.

Envision Financial Systems Names Brisacher CFO

Envision Financial Systems has hired Grant Brisacher as chief financial officer. With 25 years of experience in financial management, Brisacher most recently was a partner with accounting and consulting firm McGladrey & Pullen. He has served as a financial executive for companies in a wide variety of industries, including software development, government contracting and professional services.

"We are very pleased to have Grant join our team," said Envision President Satnam Gambhir.

"I'm very excited about Envision's potential, particularly in this period of new, exciting partnerships and product launches," Brisacher said. "I look forward to assisting the company in continuing its drive toward market leadership."

Hampton Becomes SVP At RolloverSystems

RolloverSystems, a provider of automated 401(k) roll over solutions, has hired Harold Hampton as senior vice president of technology and operations. Hampton brings 20 years of information technology and operational experience to the company.

In this position, Hampton will oversee all aspects of IT and operations, including technology, product development, customer care, relationship management, product management and fulfillment.

"As we forge new client partnerships, we must scale our infrastructure in order to provide a superior level of service and personal attention," said RolloverSystems Chief Executive Officer Reginald Bowser. "Harold has an excellent track record of driving results, and we look to his management expertise in this time of growth."

Hampton comes to the company from The Charlotte Observer, a former Knight Ridder publication, where, as vice president of operations and technology, he oversaw infrastructure, the help desk, applications, production and customer fulfillment. Before that, he was with another former Knight Ridder newspaper, St. Paul Pioneer Press, where he helped restructure the company's information technology systems.
