Meade Joins AlphaMetrix In Client Relations Group

AlphaMetrix, a managed account platform for institutional and accredited investors, has hired Richard Meade as executive director of client relations, a new position created to provide excellent customer service. Meade has more than 16 years of experience in the futures industry covering operations, client services, client technology and sales.

"Interest in the AlphaMetrix managed account platform, along with our research, risk management and due diligence services, has grown dramatically since the Bernie Madoff scandal," said Aleks Kins, CEO of AlphaMetrix. "From being a client of Richard's for several years, I know firsthand his ability to provide clients a unique combination of technological sophistication and a personal touch. He's a great asset for our team."

Meade comes to AlphaMetrix from UBS Managed Fund Services, where he was chief executive officer and helped launch the UBS managed futures platform. Before that, he ran futures client services at Goldman Sachs.

DiSano, Cook Become VPs For IndexIQ's Distribution

IndexIQ has hired Kevin DiSano and Andrew Cook as vice presidents and regional directors on its distribution team. Both longtime industry veterans with experience in marketing alternative investment products, DiSano comes to the firm from Lazard Asset Management, where he was a senior vice president in the capital advisory group, responsible for marketing hedge funds, separately managed accounts and other financial products to independent financial advisers, family offices, foundations and endowments. Before that, he was vice president of intermediary sales at Man Investments. DiSano, who has 17 years of experience, will now oversee IndexIQ's sales in the Midwest.

Cook, who himself has 16 years of investment industry experience, was most recently with Charles Schwab as vice president, regional director and new business manager, responsible for sales to the registered investment adviser channel. Before that, he was with Schwab Institutional as an RIA institutional relationship manager.

"Kevin and Andrew both bring significant experience with alternative investment products to the sales and distribution organization here at IndexIQ and will allow us to significantly expand awareness of the IndexIQ family of products with advisers, family officers and institutions," said Anthony B. Davidow, EVP and head of distribution.
