Three Join Wilmington's Wealth Advisory Business

D. Jack Sawyer, Jr., Michael A. Mohr and Todd A. Tautfest have joined Wilmington Trust's wealth advisory services business in the Southeast region, all in senior roles and all three hailing from the Atlanta office of The Arden Group.

Sawyer is now managing director and president of the region, Mohr is managing director and head of investment advisory activities, and Tautfest is managing director and head of business development.

Sawyer and Mohr founded The Arden Group, and Tautfest has worked in the financial services industry for nearly 20 years. Earlier in his career, he worked for Sanford C. Bernstein and J.P. Morgan.

"In Jack, Michael and Todd, we have added a pre-eminent group of wealth advisors to our strong team in the region," said Mark A. Graham, executive vice president of Wilmington Trust. "Their experience, leadership and talent will be major assets for our clients and their professional advisers as we work to help protect and grow our clients' wealth."

Carew, Catalano Named Great-West Sales Directors

Great-West Retirement Services has appointed two regional sales directors in New Jersey: Joe Carew and Laura Catalano, responsible for selling 401(k) administration plans through brokers, financial advisers, consultants, wirehouses and third-party administrators.

Carew joins the company from John Hancock, where he worked for the past three years in sales and marketing. Before that, he worked in sales at The Hartford. Catalano previously worked in sales at ING.

"I'm pleased to have these two experienced sales professionals as part of our growing Great-West Retirement Services sales team," said Bill Harmon, vice president of 401(k) sales. "They fill a newly created position as well as a previously open position and will strengthen our ability to deliver retirement plan solutions to the corporate market in New Jersey."

ING Increases Support for Higher-Education 403(b)s

ING's U.S. retirement services division has formed a new business development team dedicated to serving college and university 403(b) funds.

The new team further underscores ING's commitment to academic professionals and builds upon more than 40 years of supporting the education market, ING said. The financial services company said it was also forming the new unit to help educators navigate the new 403(b) rules.

The leader of the new team is Kevin Brown, senior vice president, formerly chief counsel and head of external affairs. Working with Brown is Kate Lewis, vice president in charge of new business development in the western half of the country, and Gregg Holgate, VP in charge of new business development in the eastern half of the country. Supporting Lewis and Holgate will be National Directors Troy Dryer and Dawn Mazzola.
