Federated opens global equity income fund

Federated Investors has opened the Federated Global Equity Income Fund (FGEIF), one of three of the firm's global funds. It seeks capital appreciation and income by investing in stocks of dividend-producing companies in the U.S. and abroad.

The fund is investing primarily in global equity securities. It will own about 80 stocks in any market capitalization range, but will focus on more established mid-to-large cap companies. It will avoid investing more than 40 percent of its assets in any one country outside the U.S.

FGEIF is being marketed in share classes A, B, and C through brokers, broker/dealers, banks and other financial intermediaries who represent individual investors.
