Fidelity Introduces New Online Research Aids

Fidelity Investments of Boston has announced it will introduce Research@Fidelity.com, an online research center for consumers. The new site, which is scheduled to be launched next month, will provide its own investment information aids and those of third parties as well as information from independent companies such as Lehman Brothers and Standard & Poor's. Daily news reports will be made available from Dow Jones, Reuters and SmartMoney.com, the company said.

Consumers will gain access to commercial-free third-party financial news webcasts during market hours, interviews and quarterly earnings conference calls.

Fidelity also announced that it was introducing its enhanced Fund Evaluator. Investors should now be able to use thirteen different criteria to conduct searches of over 4,100 Fidelity and non-Fidelity mutual funds available through Fidelity's mutual fund supermarket. The categories by which users can search are: investment type, investment objective, fund family, historical performance, Morningstar of Chicago ratings, expense ratio, fees and loads, and net assets, Fidelity said.
