Fidelity SVP Jumps to Prudential

James K. Cornell has joined Prudential Retirement as senior vice president and chief marketing officer.

Cornell comes to Prudential from Fidelity Investments, where he spent 11 years, most recently as senior vice president of institutional marketing.

“We are very pleased to welcome Jamie to the Prudential Retirement team,” said Christine Marcks, president of Prudential Retirement. “With his knowledge and experience, he will bring a new perspective to strategies and programs that will strengthen our reputation as a leader and innovator in the retirement plan market, and also keep us focused on our objective of improving retirement plan outcomes for our institutional plan sponsors and individual plan participants.”

Before joining Fidelity, Cornell was a senior vice president and partner of Quadra Capital Partners, an investment advisor firm, and senior vice president and regional manager of Fleet Financial Group.

He has a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
