Syntal formally opened on May 4, and includes Chad Clary and Dane Crunk, who had been employed in Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group since 2006. Also joining Syntal with the team from Merrill Lynch are Barry Brauchi, Cressinda Hyatt, Clarissa Kuzmich and Raquel Padilla.

Syntal is the latest independent advisory team to join Dynasty Financial Partners, a New York-based firm providing products and services to enable financial advisors to practice independently. Dynasty currently has 12 independent advisory practices including Syntal.

Syntal will focus on working with families who are connected to the energy industry with services including banking and lending, concentrated stock positions, estate planning and trusts, philanthropic efforts and tax management.

“Our network of clients and our location in the heart of the energy industry gives us particularly useful insight into the energy market,” Clary said in a statement. “We believe there is tremendous potential for broadening our existing relationships and developing new ones with clients who are involved in the energy sector.”
