Former Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Arthur Levitt, Jr. will join the board of directors of Neuberger Berman, of New York, the company has announced.

Levitt, who was appointed SEC chairman by former President Bill Clinton in 1993, was the longest serving SEC chairman. He left the commission on Feb. 9.
