Franklin, Cohen Report Uptick in AUM

A pair of mutual fund firms this week reported an uptick in assets under management for July.

Franklin Resources revealed that its preliminary month-end AUM stood at $718.7 billion, compared to $707.1 billion in June, and $747.2 billion at July 31, 2011.

Cohen & Steers also reported net inflows of $190 million in its U.S. open-end mutual funds, bringing total AUM in that unit to slightly over $12 billion.
